A self-taught Belgian photographer, Françoise Lerusse lives between Brussels, the Var region, and Lisbon. After studying literature at the University of Liège, she turned to audiovisual journalism, radio creation, and documentary filmmaking. She worked for several years in radio and television before joining the world of advertising as a copywriter.

During these years she practiced photography as an amateur, having inherited this passion from her father. From 2014 to 2017 she attended various courses and seminars and decided to devote herself to it entirely. In February 2020 she published her first book "Dans les plis du vieux village" (In the folds of the old village) with Editions Corridor Eléphant. Her photography questions our perception of reality. Through a poetic and expressionist approach, she is mainly interested in urban spaces and environments created by man.
