Conversations avec la ville

 

In these "conversations" I propose a subjective reading of the urban fabric. Structures, surfaces, shapes and materials are reinterpreted using techniques specific to photography. The play of textures, shadow and light, reflections, transparencies, double exposures convey my emotions and blur the reference to reality. A fantasized city is thus superimposed on the real city, reflecting my perception of the urban between fascination and repulsion. This photo-graphic work also pays homage - and holds up a mirror - to the architects and town planners whose work is reflected in mine, a bit like in a palimpsest.
